- Delete unwanted files
- Click> Start Menu> Programs> Accessories> System Tools> Disk Cleanup. This will delete any unwanted files from your system and recover the space. So no worries about delete files manually.
- Delete the cache files.(maybe once in a week)
- Firefox user - click Tools> Options> Privacy. Look on Private Date section, tick on 'Always clear my private data.....' and then, click on Settings, tick Cache ( if want you can delete other files also).
- Internet user - Click on Tools (which is on far right, if you use IE 7) and then, General. At the Browsing History, hit the Delete button.
- For more convenient way, you can use TuneUp Utilities> TuneUp DiskCleaner. Its more easy to use.
- Hard disk compression
- Open My Computer and right click on any drive and then click on Properties> General. As down below the pie chart (which shows your drive capacity), tick the 'Compress drive to save disk space'.After that, wait while it takes time to finish compress depends on your drive capacity
- My C: drive (which is the stores all the applications and Windows files) only left 5GB, but after I compressed it I recovered 2.10 GB. Hohohoho.
Lack of Hard Disk Space?
Its really frustrating right when our hard disk space is almost full and we unable to save anymore data. Do you know that there is quite number of space occupied by unwanted files and even worst we unable to identifies whether it is a system file or unwanted files? What are these unwanted files? Mostly those files are leftovers by application that deleted from system and internet files. These are the few tips I know to recover those space back.
