WGA’s Annoying Pop-Ups

Seriously, even today people still complaining to me about the annoying Windows Genuine Advantage pop-ups each time they boot their PC and in desktop. So, I would like to share a simple trick without using any fixers or patch to remove the WGA pop-up. Its actually sounds like prevention better than cure.

Maybe most of you knew that the WGA pop-ups caused by Windows update, so some of you turned off the Automatic Updates (Control Panel > Security Settings) to avoid the problem – yeah it’s a safe move, but there is a way for you to still update your Windows without let your Windows identified as a not genuine or easy to say a pirate copy.

As you enjoying surfing Net, you got informed by a small yellow shield icon in taskbar showing “updates are ready to install” (something like that :p) in a dialog box . So, when you clicked on it a small Window will open with Express Install and Custom Install options. Express Install means install the updates without asking any confirmation from you while Custom Install let you select the specific updates that you want to install.

Click on Custom Install and then a list of downloaded updates will be shown. Scroll down and look for Windows Genuine Advantage Tool among the other updates – unmark it only and then start install the updates. For your information, Windows Genuine Advantage Tool the one causes WGA pop-ups in your PC. The Windows Genuine Advantage Tool won’t be downloaded each time your Windows download the updates – no worries if you can’t find it in the list. Most people made mistakes by click Express Install and later get annoyed by WGA pop-ups. So, enjoy the Windows Updates without worrying about WGA annoying pop-ups.
