Download Movies and Games from Puntuna

Hi there, my name is Steven a.k.a newly joined co-author in Kesh Zone. I might give a brief explanation in next post on who am I and how ended up in here. As for now I will try my best to provide some interesting articles . If there are any mistakes please kindly teach and guide me as I can be categorized as ‘noob’ in blogosphere. Thank you and enjoy my first post.

As my Windows Vista blocked my torrent downloads couple of weeks ago – numerous tweaks, file restoration, patching had done to fix the problem alas it’s still the same. So, that’s the reason why I searched for websites that offers free direct downloads to download some latest movies and game – that’s how I stumbled upon Puntuna.com. These files are uploaded through Rapidshare and Megaupload. Seeing as, those files sizes are huge for Rapidshare and Megaupload as they only allow maximum 200MB per upload for Rapidshare and 1024MB (1GB) per upload for Megaupload those files are split into .rar format (you can use WinRAR, 7-Zip to extract).

Most of the movies and series can be categorized as DVD quality and as for games; it’s in full version, playable and safe. Certain torrent downloader might think downloading through Rapidshare is just waste of time, problematic and lots of hassles. In my own experience, I downloaded a file from Rapidshare and its reached download speed of 120 – 160 kB/s constantly. It took only half an hour to download 655MB file.Whereas, friend of mine took more than 1 hour to download the same file using torrents at average download speed of 30 – 60kB/s. There are pro/s and con/s for everything.

Thus, for those who unable to download through torrents you can give a shot for Puntuna. I know there are lots of websites provides the same features and benefits but for now I found Puntuna, if you have one/more mind to share?

Data Recovery Tools

USB flash drives have a space constraints, data deletion and replacement is unavoidable. But, how if you accidentally delete crucial data on it? Most of us thought if the files in USB flash drives is deleted there is no way for recovery. However, what we don't know is there are few data recovery tools able to that. Ever wondered why there are new amateur XXX 3gp clips released frequently? As an example, take the so called I-deleted-my-sweet-moments-clips-with-my-baby-in-my-memory-card (thought) and sent to phone shop for repair, upgrade or trade in. Then, the phone shop guy with let's-dig-out-what's-in-this-handphone *grin* attitude and there you go, make your own conclusion.

Now isn't it data recovery tool handy? However, recovery also depends on how critical the damage is. In this article, I short listed a few freeware data recovery tools that might come handy in case of emergency ONLY okay, not for 'digging' your friend's USB flash drive. These tools are able to recover data from all types of media such as hard drives, flash drives and optical media etc.

1. Recuva
Latest version boasts of a great success rate of recovering deleted data)

2. UndeletePlus
Also includes a secure file eraser, a set of file recovery tools, a database recovery tool for popular desktop email clients such as Outlook and Eudora, and an emergency disk image maker.

3. ShadowExplorers
For Vista Home Premium users

But again, recovery only possible if the data hasn't been overwritten.

Essential Freeware

Can you imagine your desktop or notebook without Microsoft Office, Norton Antivirus, Nero and etc? Why paying extra cash to purchase expensive software whereby you can use freeware with almost similar features. In this article I handpicked several essential freeware that can help you in major computing needs and some positive side of using it compared to the others.

Antivirus
If it’s comes to antivirus software the first thing I will stress is say no to AVG antivirus software. Please don’t ask me why instead I will suggest other anti-virus software which are way better: Those software are quite new among users but its gain popularity for its effectiveness in detecting and protecting system from various threats.

AntiVir Personal
Avast! Home Edition
AVG Free Edition

Firewall
In case you prefer better protection apart from default Windows Firewall, my first choice would be ZoneAlarm. I used ZoneAlarm Firewall before without installed any antivirus software and I never had virus attack (for casual Internet surfing).

ZoneAlarm Free
Comodo Firewall (PC Magazine Online's Editor's Choice)

Browser
Even though Internet Explorer is default browser for Windows, its known for giving problems to the user varies from security problem, lags the system and less user friendly compared to other browsers.

Mozilla Firefox 2
Nothing much to say about this browser, well known enough for its add-on features and security even though having issues for its high RAM usage and freezes apart from that it working like gem. Besides that, you can give a try for Mozilla Firefox 3 – currently in beta stage claimed use less RAM usage compared to Firefox 2.
Opera

Viewing and Word Processing

OpenOffice
An alternative for Microsoft Office with the user interface and functionalities are almost similar
Foxit Reader
Even though Adobe Reader is famous for using to view PDF format, I prefer using Foxit Reader is far way lighter and small installation file size compared to Adobe Reader. Besides that, Foxit Reader have quite number of interesting features which are not available in Adobe Reader.

Compression
7-Zip
Open source file archiver and support formats: 7z, ZIP, CAB, RAR, ARJ, GZIP, BZIP2, Z, TAR, CPIO, RPM and DEB

Image and Photo Manipulation
Adobe Photoshop is famous for this purpose however; its way too expensive that one can afford it.

Paint.NET
Provide powerful features that expensive commercial applications have. Paint.NET requires the .NET Framework 2 in order to run.
Inkscape
Inkscape is an Open Source vector graphics editor, with capabilities similar to Illustrator, Freehand, CorelDraw, or Xara X using the W3C standard Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) file format.
The Gimp

CD/DVD Tools

CDBurnerXP
A popular freeware able to writes all standard formats up to Video DVD pr Blu-ray even as multisession or boot medium. Besides that, CDBurnerXP able to create and burn ISO files and create bootable discs as well.

Media Players

VLC Player
Supports wide variety of popular multimedia format such as MP3,OGG, 3gp, QuickTime, MPEG, DivX, Real Media and more.
jetAudio
Compared to Winamp and Windows Media Player 11 I found out jetAudio is the best audio player for Windows users by providing wide variety of audio enhancements tuning, good in ripping and burning audio CDs.

p/s: Those are freeware of my choice, so they might be differs with you guys. So, if you wish to add or critic just drop it at the comment section so we all can share it as well..

Microsoft has finally developed the Windows XP Service Pack 3 Release Candidate 1 which will be the last service pack for the Windows XP. This new service pack promises a good set of bug fixes and some new features borrowed from Vista. However, the service pack is currently available for Beta Testers only.

So, if you desperate enough to give a try Daily Apps provided a simple trick to download Windows XP SP3 RC1 from Microsoft website.

• Download this file ( WindowsXPSP3Hack.cmd ). Once you have downloaded the file, login as administrator and run the file by double clicking it. Wait for the Confirmation Message on screen.
• The Above file adds a few entries to the Windows Registry that makes Microsoft think that you are a part of the Private beta program.

• Download and install it. Reboot whenever necessary.

Actually this hack will fool Microsoft website that you are one of the Beta Testers so you can download the service pack without any problems.
