Share your broadband internet connection wire-less

If you're using a fixed line broadband internet connection (such as TMnet Streamyx) and you're using a laptop or desktop PC with a wireless adapter, you can share your connection without using any routers or switches. Here's how:
  1. You need to create your own ad-hoc (PC to PC) network using your computer (if you're using Intel wireless adapters, you can just use Intel PRO/Wireless utility)
  2. Go to Control Panel > Network and Internet Connections > Network Connections
  3. Right click on your broadband connection, select Properties > Advanced
  4. In the Internet Connection Sharing column, check the box "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection"
  5. Select "Wireless Network Connection" from the Home Networking connection drop-down menu
  6. Select OK
  7. Use another computer with wireless adapter to connect to the ad-hoc network that you've created with the first computer
  8. Dial your broadband connection (re-dial if you're already connected)
  9. Now both yours and the other computer have access to the internet
This method is actually found by me from a try-n-error at my friend's house and somehow it works!

I don't know if there's another (or easier) way to do this. If you do know, feel free to give comments or suggestions.. (^^,)
