Over Heated Nokia Batteries

World top hand phone maker, Nokia announced serious news when they said that the 46 millions batteries used in their phones could overheat. The Nokia branded ‘BL-5C’ made by Matsushita Electrical Industrial Co. Ltd. between December 2005 and November 2006.

The battery could potentially overheating due initiated by short circuit while charging, causing the battery dislodging. Nokia also said 100 cases of battery overheating cases have been reported globally but lucky no serious injures were reported.

The ‘BL-5C’ is Nokia’s most widely used battery and several suppliers have made more than 300 million of Nokia. However, the company would replace the batteries for no cost.
