Opera? Internet Browser? Hehe
Let’s get to know the great thing about this Internet browser. Opera is more of an Internet suite than just a lone web browser. Opera packs quite an array of components;
- The cross-platform suite can handle internet-related tasks such as tabbed browsing, sending and receiving email, chatting online, widget, etc.
- It operates on platforms such as Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, FreeBSD and Solaris.
- One highlight of Opera is its Speed Dial Browsing (now its interesting). A user can allocate certain websites to one of the website.
- Another great utility is the BitTorrent plug-in, which allow BitTorrent downloads to be handled like regular HTTP/FTP downloads (cool but not cool enough).
- Aside from opening multiple tabs, the web pages can be resized, moved, tiled and cascaded within the same application window.
- Opera also has trash can button that can retrieve blocked pop-ups and closed tabs (ala Firefox also can what).
- Amongst the various features are a built-in pop-up blocker, password managing tool called Wand, integrated search engine plug-ins, thumbnail previews of tabs and lots more.
